FEATURED ARTISTS:

C BillmeyerCHANCE BILLMEYER - Chance Billmeyer was born in Long Beach, Californa in 1963, and raised in Denver, Colorado. In 1982 he moved back to California and the beautiful city of San Diego. Chance is a graduate from San Diego State University (1986), with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art, and over 15 years of illustration, painting and design.

His father is an avid and prolific landscape oil painter who resides in Colorado and exhibits his work frequently.
Colorado provided Chance with the opportunity to develop a strong relationship to nature, an appreciation for its variety and palette, and an understanding of the delicate balance of life and death. Denver, and subsequent trips to Europe and Central America allowed him to study architecture and figure drawing. His work combines the rich textures and vivid colors of his surroundings: people, architecture and landscape. His paintings explore and reveal the dynamic relationship between all three.

Tom RogoTHOMAS PAUL ROGO - Born in the rural farmland of Wisconsin, Tom was four years old when he traveled by train with his parents to resettle in southern California amongst the sprawling orange groves and dusty chicken ranches. The open spaces of undeveloped land and the Pacific Ocean were his childhood playground. His schoolteacher father and librarian mother, both musically talented, nurtured a creative atmosphere in the family. The sound of someone practicing a musical instrument or quietly painting and drawing was a typical indoor activity in Tom's childhood home. Weekend outings to art museums were as normal to his family as going to the mall is for today's kids.

He later went on to study architecture and, after earning his Master's degree, found his niche teaching architectural design and illustration at a local San Diego college. Teaching illustration really reignited his boyhood love of drawing and his admiration for his favorite childhood book illustrators such as Maxfield Parrish and N.C. Wyeth. By his mid-thirties Tom began his quest to become more serious about painting. He later successfully illustrated a children's book but decided the process took too much time for his temperament (although he will not rule out another one in the future). He prefers landscape painting because is has fewer constraints and it allows him to paint outdoors directly from nature.

Besides painting, Tom has been surfing the coast of San Diego for over forty-five years and gets his kicks by “getting lost in the middle of nowhere” on one of his motorcycles.

Tom is a member of the San Diego Art Institute.

Julie SimpsonJULIE SIMPSON - Jeweliany is a bright and shining young stone in the ever-changing world of fashion, hipsters, and style cats. It's a line that has been making a name for itself, and a face to put with it, for the past four years. Her jewelry business took off in an unexpected way. She was waitressing at two San Diego beach hot spots, “The Mission” and “Cantina,” and was bored with the selection of jewelry that she could wear to work, so she began to dabble with a few designs of her own. She had no idea that the next few days at work would change her life forever. From the first morning she showed up to work wearing her own original design up until this very day, every time she rocks a piece of hers, someone has a compliment, or a check to write in order to buy it right off her neck.

Her designs are young, fresh, innovative, creative, lustful, sexy, edgy, raw, legit, and funky. She has collections that fit with any outfit and with any occasion, whether it is a day by the pool, or a night at the Ritz. Jeweliany has devoted her time to developing her own personal interest in style and urban culture into the sophisticated and contemporary jewelry line she is now known for. Despite the popularity of her work and demand for product, Julie has made it a priority of hers to constantly innovate new, fashion-forward designs to ensure that her pieces are always on the cutting edge.

Julie hand selects each stone, jewel, chain, and charm pulling designs from the likes of chalcedony, tourmaline, drozy quartz, and freshwater pearls, as well as pendants, leather, shells, coral, jade, and onyx. If you want it, she's got it, has used it, or will find it. Her designs have made their way into the celebrity eye being showcased for numerous Hollywood red-carpet events, featured in several photo spreads in magazines such as Surfer Girl magazine, 944 Fashion and Style, Riviera San Diego, Elle, and has been used in many local fashion shows. Her one-of-a-kind jewelry line can be found in select San Diego, North County, Los Angeles, and Lake Tahoe locations. The list of clients and supporters is growing by the day.

Jewels by Jeweliany is not only a name you will associate with avant-garde designs and hot new trends carrying a vintage motif, but it's also a name that will continue to grow expand and innovate shine from the beach to the stars. You can say you were there when it started.
